Setup Guide

Set up geofencing automations

Trigger smart home actions automatically when you arrive at or leave home. Pilot uses your iPhone location to control Domoticz and Jeedom devices based on proximity.

Steps

  1. Enable location permissions — Allow Pilot to use your location in iOS Settings. Select "Always" for background geofencing.
  2. Define a geofence zone — Open Pilot Settings, go to Geofencing, and set your home location on the map.
  3. Configure enter/exit actions — Choose which devices to trigger when you arrive at or leave the geofence zone.
  4. Test your geofence — Leave and return to your geofence zone to verify the automations trigger correctly.

Everyday automations

Arriving home

Turn on lights, disarm the alarm, and adjust the thermostat automatically when you get home.

Leaving home

Switch off lights, arm the alarm, and lower the heating when you leave your geofence zone.

Background operation

Geofencing works in the background without opening Pilot. Actions trigger as soon as iOS detects the zone transition.

Multiple zones

Set up separate geofence zones for home, office, or other locations with different automations for each.
